What is the best programming language for creating a database?
Databases r created and manipulated with SQL , which is not a programming language but a declarative language . However, u can do that with PHP, Perl, Python , etc programming languages but even in this case will be using SQL inside the code of these programming languages What is the best programming language for creating a database?

Creating hyperlinks from 1 document to others that may be revised later:How can I automatically update links?
- The document will be written in Word and later converted to text-readable PDF (by necessity).
- Each revision of every document I'm linking to will be stored in the same folder, and their filenames will be similar. For example the link to ';XYZ R01'; will have to be updated to ';XYZ R02';.

It can't be done the way you envision it. Instead, name your current document XYZ. When revisions are made, save this ';original'; with a different name (such as XYZ 3_10_2007) Then overwrite the original with the latest revision, keeping the same file name. Your hyperlink will therefore continue to point to the latest revision of your form, and you will have a list of past revisions, already sorted by date (or you can use R01, R02, etc. for old versions if you like).
The key is to keep the latest and greatest revision with the same file name as the original marked in your hyperlink. Use the ';save as'; feature to keep all previous revisions with different file names.

As long as you keep the names the same, and in the same folder relative to your document, you should be fine. ( test in advance).

i'd say they feel like they are very ordinary and they don't like it, so they're trying to make their kid special by giving it a not so common name.

What is a good system for creating unique partners/groups for my language students?
I am interested in having a system for changing partners in my language classes so I can always guarantee all my students meet each other just once during an activity. With small numbers it is easy. For example, if I have four students numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, then I know there are 3 different combinations of partners, and I can visually figure out those combinations. Also, since there is an even number, nobody is left out.
However, I often have different numbers of students in my classes, and many students
(20-35).
Can anyone think of a good system/formula that will work with any size group of students. Note, it will have to be a system that I can show/explain to my students, so they can figure out who their next partner will be. It can be somewhat complex (these are university students), but simplicity is best. I realize also that with an odd group of students, someone will be left out each time partners are meeting (but hopefully a different person each time). I do not know a numbered system. These are a couple that I have used:
Place the desks in 2 circles. One set goes around the other that is facing them. Half of the students stay seated. The outside group moves one seat to the left (or right) each time they switch. This way every person meets each other.
Another thing that I have done does not guarantee that EVERY person meets, but most do. I make a chart/table with verbs and/or vocab. The students go around and randomly ask a classmate a question from their chart and the classmate answers. They then sign the box as verification that they answered (and it helps the asker to know which questions they have used). I call it a People Finder. Sometimes you can do it as a game and they have to get like a Bingo; find a straight line of activities that people in the classroom can answer affirmatively.What is a good system for creating unique partners/groups for my language students?
In my ESL classrooms I tend to pair strong students with weak students so that they can help one another. This does not work as well in assessment work as the stronger student will often feel jilted unless you ave failsafes.

Sometimes it helps to put students that speak the same language in groups together as they can explain concepts to each other in their own language. Although, I try to put a couple of different language groups together so that they are forced to speak English for a majority of the time.

Speaking as a student at the community college level I'm not much into instructors pairing me up with people, because there are some people in the class who I don't work well with and others who I work well with. I'd rather work with those who I know aren't going to be distracted easily and who know the material. For me there's nothing worse than working with someone who isn't at least one chapter ahead where we are supposed to be on the syllabus and it's difficult for me to slow my rate of learning down just to accomadate someone else. I'd rather work with people who know the material...it doesn't help if one partner does all the work and the other does nothing but talk to their friends. There are times, however when I don't mind working with people who are slightly behind, because then I can sort of slow down and maybe get to know that person. But the truth is I'm not in college to meet people or to make friends, I'm there to gain skills and a degree.

If you get 2 million search results or less, you've got a good keyword phrase for a homepage. 3 million or less, you've got a keyword page for other pages in your website. Anything more than 3 million, you're going to have a hard time getting noticed.
Third, you've got to make sure that keyword has enough of a search market. Anything less than 400 searches per month is lousy. You're not likely to make sales. Go to Wordtracker Free Keyword Tool. Type in your keyword or keyword phrase.

Just the People that believe that some God some centuries ago chose them out of all people he supposedly created and gave them that desolate land, and all the Christian fundamentalists who believe that those people still exist today and that the Christians must support these people because they think they follow the same God. How should I go about creating my own insignia?
To put on cloth's i create.
I have sketched a couple idea's but I dont think they look all that good.

If its for a professional business, the best thing you can do is hire a professional designer! Set aside a budget for a company logo and insignia, and let them help develop the brand/identity for your company. Its what we've been trained to do! :)
EDIT: maybe you misunderstood what I meant then... :) An insignia, from my understanding as a professional graphic designer, would need to be created as an EPS/Vector for it to be embroidered or put on clothing...correct? Usually, you would need a designer to then ';recreate'; whatever insignia design you come up. So even if you sketch the idea out, you would still need a designer to 'trace' or refine and execute said idea into a digital file format that can be used to transfer this design onto the clothing.
An insignia is essentially a logo. A designer went to school and has the experience necessary to create a communicative logo that represents YOU and YOUR design - according to YOUR specifications! Designers are not here to make up their own stuff on what THEY want....WE want to design something for YOU that works for YOU! That is why most professional designers find it very important to fully understand exactly what you want. What you are asking for is an idea or concept, and thats great and all, but thats part of what designers like me get paid for! Its the first step actually to approaching a design! We are not just clickin' buttons on the computer, we are learning what your needs are, and executing and concepting based directly on what you give us!
Designers have learned what works, and what doesn't How to integrate certain colors, typography and symbols together to communicate an idea...in your case you want a logo created to put on your clothing. I assume you would like your clothes marketing correct? That insignia or logo should be used consistantly to bring that idea home and tie in your clothes to your marketing materials...essentially what you need is a brand/identity created in order to sell your creative clothing designs. I can show you tons of sites from other clothing designers...you'll see their insignias on their clothing, as well as used strongly throughout their websites....see designers see the whole thing through and can see the whole picture! :)

I named my graphic design business as a tribute to a VERY weird and VERY cool animal. The cat's full name was ';Orion, the Mighty Hunter,'; but of course, we just called him ';Orion.'; He pronounced it 'rrrryaannnn!';
So, the logo for my busines is a simple diagram of the constellation, Orion, which most people recognize on sight. One sees the symbol, one thinks, ';Orion.'; As such, the works very well.
I knew another designer who's logo was a howling jackal. His work tended to have a younger, more ';edgy'; quality. Anyone who knew his work knew that the logo was very appropriate.
So, you insignia does not have to include letters of any kind. Playing with letters, while fun, does not always say much about the person or product the insignia represents. If you really want the insignia to be YOUR initials, you may be satisfied with just the initials in a font that you like.
But of course, you clothing line's logo is a personal choice, and, if nothing comes immediately to mind, then take some more time to research and play with your ideas. Remember that the BEST logos are very simple, and instantly recognizable.
No dis towards you my 'Answers friend' ...but I think it should all be your call-someones help on something personal like this, could kinda spoil it ...then again, what do I know!!! Guess I'm just anal like that ;)...

Though, they don't seem to have it in them anymore ...they just not creating good t's. A shame too ...for me anyway. But yeah, hope you get your stuff out(althought I think an 'independent' medium company is very cool). Myself ....I'd love to have a different design on every t ...or maybe just one thing on each that makes it that 'lil special... Dude ...seriously ...would love to know how you get on with this. Simply, to give us something more than assembly languages was the basic motivation. Prior to procedural lanaguages that was the only real language we had.
Procedural languages did also bring in the ability to compartmentalize code into functions/subroutines to help create more structured code. You could take chunks that were repeated and make them independent. You could modularize your programs to make them easier to understand - you didn't need to know how each function did it's job to understand what main was doing.What were the reasons behind creating Procedural programming languages? Why is the government not doing anything to bring down the price of Gas? Is the government in aliance with the oil companies to creat fake crisis to jestify the high prices that we re paying? Who is really getting rich while the rest of us are working extra to pay for the gas? Is the President resposible for helping his oil company friends to get RICHER? IWhy are the Oil companies creating the impression that refining capacity is what is driving up the gas prices?

Presidents, Secretaries and other important Government Employees will sell their 2007 Lexus that runs on gasoline and buy a new 2008 Lexus that runs on gasoline AND electricity.
You don't have to buy gasoline.
You can buy a used Honda Insight or a used Toyota Prius.
You can also buy a 1998 (Or newer) Volkswagen Jetta with a diesel engine and never buy another galon of gasoline.
You can find a Biodiesel Station in most cities.
The demand for gasoline is rising and that will drive the price of gasoline to $8.00 USD per galon in a few years.
If enough people buy Diesel cars then the demand for gasoline will drop and that will drive the price of gasoline to $2.00 USD per galon in a few years.
It's just Simple Math.
If you live in a small town and there is not a car for sale with a diesel engine I will sell you one on Ebay and one of my employees will drive it all the way to your town.
Only you can reduce the price of gasoline.
The biggest problem with your question is the simple belief that the government ';should'; do something about gas prices. While I don't pretend to understand the reason for disdain for the president I can certainly correlate it with serveral other ideas that you may also hold dear.
You likely believe that the war in Iraq is just about oil.
You likely believe that health care should be nationalized.
You likely believe that someone in government is responsible for the reduction or outsourcing of your unionized job.
You likely believe that the rich have always been rich and inheritated thier money from thier rich parents, who definitely exploited someone to get all thier money.
All that being said, the ';solution'; to gas prices is not government action. It is the action of markets. Given a chance to work, the market will decrease demand for transportation once the marginal cost (price of gas) outpaces consumers marginal utility for transportation. So, we can generally see that if you or I suddenly think to ourselves, ';hmm... this darn gas is awful expensive and I might be able to catch a ride with someone else today'; or ';hey maybe I'll trade in my old 94 suburban for a new flex-fuel minivan';... (decreasing consumption or switching to a competing good) maybe, just maybe, the price of unleaded will head back down, due to a decrease in demand... kinda like when Pepsi Clear went on clearance b/c it was a dumb idea, but at a lower price... it isn't such a dumb idea anymore.
So... my suggestion to you, is not to blame the government for your problems. It is to take a little personal responsibility, quit driving so much, buy a more fuel efficient car and encourage others to do the same. Then let economics do the rest.

Actually the major problem is that many communities do not want a refinery in their back yard. The tree huggers and their liberal Democratic allies do not want anything that could possibly hurt that toad that only lives in that one creek right beside where they want to build that new refinery....

Can I plant a shrub without creating a mulched bed?

Forsythia and lilac are both toughies that will behave quite well in grass - but it would be a good idea to leave an area underneath them bare for at least a year to avoid competition from weeds etc until they have put down a good root system. Gosh, in my opinion, I'm not sure that it does. I would think being OBJECTIVE would contribute more to the development of an informal tone.
Being SUBJECTIVE implies that you have an attitude or a bias about what you are writing about, so I would expect your tone to be more passionate.
Being OBJECTIVE, on the other hand, suggests that you still have an open mind about the subject, and would therefore be able to develop a more informal, professorial-type tone.
Others may disagree with me, and that's fine. It's just my SUBJECTIVE opinion.

well then what is the purpose of having kids, if they can't love you and call you mom and or dad? God created us, therefore it seems only reasonable to love HIm for having created us. And when you love someone, don't you want to express your love for them? Worshiping God is like demonstrating your love for HIm. OH and worshiping God isn't what will save anyone, as in the same way going to Church every weekend isn't what will save you either. The Bible says to love the Lord your God with all your heart,and then it says to love your neighbor as yourself. Once you have experienced the greatest love given only by God, you will be able to share this love with others. Living such a life of love, is what will save you!

There have been people who have claimed to worship God all throughout their lives, and they will not be in heaven either. God wants us to choose to worship Him. However, because of our sin, we cannot do that. What keeps us out of heaven, is our sin. Because of that sin, and because of His love for us, He sent His son into the world to die on the cross, so that those who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is the way to heaven, and once we accept Him, we will want to worship Him. Believe you me, there is nothing better. However if you think that God is demanding you to worship Him, I can see that you would not think that much fun. We are not rewarded for worshiping God, we are saved through the blood of Christ, and then we will choose to live to worship Him. Completely different my friend.
God created us for Himself. He loves us. Why wouldn't you want to worship your Creator? If it wasn't for Him breathing life into us - we wouldn't have life. Would you rather worship satan and have eternal life in hell being tortured? Or will you worship God and have eternal life in heaven where there is no sickness, no fire, no tears, no sorrows, no lies, no murderers, no homosexuality, and no more worries?

The churches teachings. God says you worship Him when you love one another. God also believes in reincarnation, not damnation. Damnation only serves the churches purpose which is to control. Reincarnation serves God's Purpose which is to have you Return Home.

As thought moves forward into higher ground, the ';have to'; is dropped and replaced with ';need to.';
Spiritual growth will take you there.

The way GOD want us to worship HIM is in obeying HIS WORD (the BIBLE).
If you have ever read the BIBLE, which it REALLY seems like you haven't, then you would see that all of GOD's commandements are for our well-being.

i am new to Oracle db. My understanding is that the schema should be auto generated when creating a user. I am able to successfully create a user by using SQL + or by using create user window. but the schema is not generated.
I need the schema to be generated, and the tables i create should be created inside that schema. any help?

When I put my pictures on any type of a dark background there is a whitish grey outline. If I bring the transparency in closer it makes the picture look very pixely and blocky. You already started. Before you do anything else, explain to the bride what you want to do. If she is OK with it, ask her to let you work with the person responsible for the event.
It would be best to record the other guests' comments well BEFORE the event so you have enough time to edit.
Go to their homes and set up a tripod with the camcorder on it. Do not expect them to come to you. Get them speaking about the groom... what they know about him, what they remember about him... After all the video is collected, EDIT. Take the best, NICEST comments. This is NOT a roast. This is saying NICE things.
Have the name of the person speaking at the bottom of the video - your video editor will be able to add ';subtitles';. You can have their relationship with the groom in there, too. Their name and relationship can display for about 4 seconds - that is long enough for people to read the subtitle.
If you have digital pictures of the groom available - like when they were a kid - you can use these in between the people speaking. Crossfades are good - into and out of the still. Better if the still has something to do with what the last speaker just talked about or what the next speaker is about to talk about.
You can start the audio of one of the people speaking over black - and show a title of ';Tribute to (groom's name)';, then fade in on the person speaking.
The final video should be no longer than about 3 minutes - the viewers will get bored.
At the end, fade to a recent still of the groom - perhaps with the bride.
Burn the DVD.
At the ';event'; you need to be sure there is a DVD player and a projector - a screen is best, but a light colored flat wall with no artwork or other distractions will work. Connecting the DVD player to the event venue's PA system is best. Coordinate with whomever is responsible for the event. Get to the event WITH the DVD player and projector a few hours EARLY and make sure it all works. Never assume anything. If the person responsible for running the event is OK with what you are doing, then go for it. DO NOT just show up and assume everyone will flip their schedules just because you said so.
More planning and discussions with folks involved with the project ahead of time will make life easier for all - that said, don't be a pain, either. This is THEIR day - not your media event.
The DVD player and projector and PA system may need to be rented. Offer to pay for the DVD player and the projector - this is an unplanned expense - unless you can bring your own... If the PA system is already there, offer to pick up a portion of it - if it is included in the room rental, then no worries - but you need to understand how the audio from the DVD player will get into the PA system. My painting is a blend of many colors. A light happy one closely followed by a black blob to run the nice picture that would've been. This pattern continues until now when there is a picture finaly forming. This picture is going to be unpredictible and have no clear image until the painter is finally done.

You must have an old-fashioned CRT set. Your set is having a problem with the vertical deflection circuit, most likely the output transistors. Sometimes they can be replaced easily by a qualified technician. Look in the phone book for a small repair shop and talk to them about it. In order to run in an election you must be of voting age - generally 18 - but that is pretty much the only age restriction.
A great way to start, is to become a member of a political party - you don't have to be 18, you can get contacts, a better understanding of the electoral system as well as you get to have a say in the party's direction - many parties have societies and clubs for younger members as well (such as the young libs) which give younger people the skills to run in an election if they want to (such as debating and public speaking). It also is a great way for parties to nuture young talent.
You could also run as an independent - that is, you don't have a party but you run for a seat in a federal or state election. You need to register your interest before a certain date (check out the Australian Electoral Commission or you State Electoral Commission website for more info).

It comes with some basic string stuff, but if you really want quality, you will have to look into software designed for strings..like East West Symphonic stuff.

In fact, image-line (fl studio's company) sells Varazdin Orchestral which has lots of orchestra in it, as well as the ';orchestral'; CD which is pretty cheap. nice sounds in there.

Other than that, it will be no different than building any other website. As far as flash is concerned, you would just embed it into your site. It all depends on how 'code' driven you want to be. iWeb for the new iLife has many improvements and supports so much more then what came with your Mac.
I have been running the new iLife - iWeb on my Mac Book Titainium G4 700mhz and it is a bit slow at times but it works just fine in the long run. Word of caution although iWeb now lets you drop in code it can be tricky. Dropping in flash objects is simple, just drop the code in.
Anyways if you just want to create sites and quickly iWeb is great and you don't have to configure the server/host to have the WordPress installed/configured.

This is a huge question. If it were easy to answer, everyone would be doing it. Here is what I believe it takes.
Be good. That's right, good. not great, not awesome, not fabulous, just good. Why, because most of your competition is not. They start good and then degrade into mediocre, and sometimes slide into bad. All the while using their reputation from the beginning to continue business until they end up closing because people stop using them.
Before you even apply for a business license, create a business plan. You can buy software for about $100 or can visit any major university with an MBA department and ask for students to help you. They almost always need to do a business plan for their studies and need a company to do it on. Without this plan, you may succeed, but with it, you have a road map to success.
If you have a business plan you can get loans and grants (depending on your country) to help you start out. Without it, just because you say you will succeed, doesn't hold any weight with other business people. If you do nothing else, please, please, make a business plan. I promise, you'll be more successful with it.
Always charge for your services. Never ever give it away. Why, people equate free with something of little or no value. You don't want that. Offer a discount instead. So, if you would normally charge $1000 to do something, but need to get the business, discount it, don't say ';Well I'll do it for you for free if you just tell people you used me.'; Terrible idea. You will begin your reputation as a cheap inexpensive company. Don't do it.
Always spell out in great detail what you are being contracted to do. After a meeting with customers, write down in detail what you agreed on. There will always be something that is overlooked or assumed. Those things are costly. Not just in money but also possibly the relationship with the client.
Get and read books on system development methods and implementations. You will find that scope creep(changing the project as it goes) kills many system developments, large or small. Manage this scope creep. Have a system in place that requires both parties approval before any changes are made. Then, make them understand that the changes require some cost or change to the contract, what is known in the business as a change order. Don't be afraid to charge for these changes. If you don't, I assure, the customer will continue to ask for new things the just decided are absolutely essential(as everyone always does or else all software would be version 1.0). You have to resist saying, ';OK, I'll do it, that is a simple change';. Of course you will do a few minor changes for nothing: colors, layout, etc. But avoid changing functions and scope.
Before you type one letter of code, sit down with the user and ask them to show what they think is good software. Have them show you what a good user interface is. Ask them how long they plan to keep the system. How many people will use it. What type of documentation they want. Documentation is as costly as programming, never give this away either. It is very expensive! It is also almost always the one thing people skimp on. It will come back to haunt the system and you.
Also, don't just ask for the system requirements, ask what problem are they trying to solve and why? What benefit do they feel this system will deliver? How will you measure that success? How will they measure any savings? You'd be surprised how few people know those answers. They just assume something newer will help their company. It may not, or at least not as much as they expected. In the end, this will reflect on you. You didn't provide a great system that does what they want. Well how can you, if they don't know what they want.
Your reputation will grow based on how you do all of the above things. Never do rush jobs. Everyone thinks they can shorten the process, save money, and still deliver a quality project. Ha!! Not true in software or any other profession. Don't take a job that doesn't feel right. Good business is also knowing when not to take a job.
When you accept a project, create a project time line with dates for deliverables and milestones. Make sure everyone understands them. Always get paid on major milestones. Never wait until the end. Always work in late fees. If the customer says, ';We'll get you that information next week so you can begin'; and then takes 2 months, you should charge them for missing the milestone. If you miss a milestone, you should pay them or discount something. Why? Because money makes everyone focus on the issues. Deliver on milestones and you will complete the project on time, on budget and provide the customer what they asked for.
Also, no matter how long you think a project will take, your first estimate will be wrong! No matter who you are, IBM, or two guys in a basement. Always leave extra time. I always do my first estimate and then, using may factors, gut feeling, the clients personality, reading tea leaves, and looking at horoscopes, will figure out my extra time. A good rule is to double it. Sometimes 50% is enough, some times, tripling it is what works. Why? It just is. Everyone is optimistic to start but then life happens. Other work comes along, people get sick, quit, leave, vacation, etc.
And lastly, no matter who you work with, always get the sign off or approval from the one that makes the true decisions. Meet with them, and make sure this project meets their approval and they are committed to it. Get it in writing! This is so necessary, I should have listed it higher up. This person is called a project champion. It must be someone in high management with the ability to support the project. You want someone you can go to when things go bad and say ';Hey, I need your help to get things moving. How can you help'; If they are committed to the project, you will get their help. If not, you'll get, ';I'm sure they'll get it to you soon';. That's it, time to think about walking away or renegotiating. Always write in your ability to get out at a major milestone. Get paid first if possible, then say ';You know what, this isn't working out between up. We need to talk about what happened and moving forward either together or not.'; Then give them what is theirs, the code, and say ';Good luck, its been a pleasure doing business with you.'; End it friendly if possible, but sometimes you have to end it. I assure you, if you are good, they will be back. Why, see my first paragraph.

I have dabbled with web development for sometime now, and have a good friend who is in the web industry. Having good communications, graphics design, coding knowledge, and overall creativity are really the only requirements to enter the field. This friend if mine started out by going around her town to business asking them if they needed a website, and designing it for free. After having a few successful web pages and happy clients, she started to sell her services (I know that sounds awkward).
